Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lodge Manager to oversee the operations of our client's prestigious hunting game lodge. The Lodge Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all lodge facilities, managing staff, providing exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the lodge's commitment to conservation and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the hunting game lodge, including accommodations, dining, recreational activities, and guest services
Supervise lodge staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction by providing personalized service and resolving any guest issues or concerns
Manage lodge finances, including budgeting, expense control, and revenue generation
Maintain and enhance the lodge's commitment to wildlife conservation, sustainable practices, and environmental stewardship
Coordinate with the Farm/Hunting Manager and wildlife experts to ensure the safety and ethical practices of hunting activities
Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and local community members
Implement and enforce health and safety standards and procedures
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote the lodge and attract new guests
Prepare regular reports on lodge performance, guest feedback, and conservation initiatives
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a relevant field (preferred)
Proven experience in lodge management, preferably in a hunting game lodge or a similar outdoor hospitality environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passion for wildlife conservation and sustainable practices
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with wildlife management and hunting regulations
Proficiency in computer and reservation management systems
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment
First aid and/or wilderness safety certifications (preferred)
Exceptional English and a foreign second language (preferred)
