Description
Summary:
The position supports research of faculty members, and several graduate and undergraduate students that participate in agricultural science research. Initially the person selected will report to the Research Director, College of Agricultural, Life and Natural Sciences. Later reassignments may be altered.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to plan and manage and in ordering of supplies, service contracts, and follow-up of vendor accounts, etc.
- Support research of assigned faculty members and also undertake one's own research work as assigned or collectively determined.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
- A candidate selected for this position should have an earned bachelor's degree; master’s degree is preferred in Agricultural and related sciences.
Supplemental Information
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Acquainted with routine operation of analytical instruments and statistical analysis.
- Background in writing and computational skills while working with diverse agricultural sample analyses is highly desirable.
- Familiar with analytical instruments and methods utilized in best management of agricultural science laboratories and field operations.
- Possess relevant experiences (2 year for BS and 1 year for MS degree holder)
