JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as the department's first point of contact. Provides administrative coordination and assistance to the School of Architecture, faculty and staff, in the College of Architecture, Art, and Construction Science (CAAC), by carrying out an array of customary support functions. Serves as the administrative liaison for personnel and payroll actions between the So A Programs, the School's Director + Accounting/Fiscal Manager and HR+Payroll, ensuring consistency and compliance. Provides student support, registration and course coordination to the Ph D PDBE program. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
60% - Essential - HUMAN RESOURCES/PAYROLL SUPPORT FOR SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE: 1- Coordinate personnel actions & serve as resource person on all personnel policies & procedures for the School-all programs and locations. 2 - Serve as primary point of contact and liaison between between Program admin support, So A Director and accounting/fiscal officer & HR Payroll to ensure consistency in reporting/processing of all personnel actions to include faculty and staff hires, salary changes, etc. Provide detailed and accurate reports to Director and other personnel as required. Other duties as needed. 3 - Serves as primary point of contact for student and faculty hires for the School of Architecture Ph D program, Landscape Architecture, The Clemson Design Center Charleston, City and Regional Planning and for the Master of Architecture Program.
20% - Essential - FACULTY SUPPORT- 1 - Provide guidance with the online reporting systems, Faculty Success and coordinate submission deadlines. 2 - Provide and manage access to general So A information and forms via established Box folders. Create surveys, analyze results, and prepare reports. 3 - Maintain and distribute as deemed necessary parking passes, and departmental keys for Architecture faculty and staff in Lee Hall; manage office space for Architecture faculty in Lee Hall, and ensure temporary faculty are provided and office space during the semesters they teach, and full time faculty are provided with permanent office space. Other duties as needed.
20% - Essential - DESIGN AND THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT (PDBE) PH.D PROGRAM STUDENT SUPPORT - Assist with the logistics of the Ph D program: assist students with completing forms and submitting documents necessary for program completion, assist with new student orientation, coordinate faculty and student advisory meetings; track all Ph D faculty course assignments for the fall, spring and summer terms. Ensure all sections of the PDBE courses have faculty assignments designated in IRoar/Banner. Assist with student hires, assistantships, contracts, international hire paperwork; collect all payroll paperwork and submit to the University HR office for hire, payroll changes and terminations. Use Workflow Admin system to enter Ph D Plan of Study. Make student registration changes as needed; assist students with registering for Ph D courses and credits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - High school diploma or equivalent and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Band: 04 ($ 32,686.00 - $ 46,000.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
