ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a media enthusiast with a passion for content production and social media? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and want to make a positive impact in your community? If so, the Media Assistant role at AFLNT could be the perfect fit for you!
As a Media Assistant, you will support the AFLNT Media Team in promoting and expanding football across the Territory. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in media and Australian Rules football, looking to gain hands-on experience and contribute to both grassroots and talent development.
Note, as this is a casual role, your days and hours are not defined however the workload is likely to equate to around 3-4 days of work per week (which could vary and may include some weekend work), as agreed by yourself and your manager on a weekly
basis and depending on your availability.
As a casual who is part of the AFL Corporate Affairs team, you will have some flexibility in terms of when/how you can work, a willingness to attend events and you know that weekend and match day work may be required.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist the AFLNT Media Team with day-to-day media and content activities.
- Coordinate with Clubs to create media opportunities and support broadcast integration.
- Work with broadcast partners on match day requirements and attend some match days as needed.
- Monitor AFLNT’s social and digital channels to identify opportunities and address issues.
- Create and draft engaging content for AFLNT’s social media and digital platforms.
- Source and compile information for media and stakeholder requests.
- Assist in tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs), including viewership and online metrics.
- Contribute to various projects within the media team and support overall departmental goals.

- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and match days as required.
