ABOUT THE ROLE
The Strength & Conditioning coach will oversee, develop, and deliver all aspects of physical preparation for the NT Talent Academy programs. Your fundamental role will be to provide an elite training environment for talented players to reach their full potential.
This is a fixed term seasonal role until 31 August 2025, which involves approximately 10hours per week!
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
Strength & Conditioning
- Design and implement a strength and conditioning program that exposes athletes to an age-appropriate, progressive, and challenging strength training stimulus to promote long-term athlete development.
- Design and implement appropriate conditioning programs for pre-season and in-season competition phases.
Sports Science
- Apply feedback from High-Performance Lead regarding internal (Smartabase) and external (GPS) load monitoring, to assist in optimal preparation of athletes.
- Monitor and provide feedback to High-Performance lead and coaches on training sessions.
Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation
- Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate an engaging rehabilitation process and individualized return to perform programs for injured athletes where appropriate.
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- A degree in Exercise Science or equivalent
- A willingness to work flexible hours (2 training nights + Game Day)
- ASCA Level 1 (Level 2 preferred)
- Current Working with Children Check (ochre card)
Desirable skills
- Experience using Catapult GPS software and technology.
