1) Regularly audit existing website content for readability, Section 508 accessibility compliance, branding and messaging consistency, navigation and overall content freshness and work with content managers on any necessary updates;
2) Collaborate with University Marketing & Communications (Mar Comm), Information Services & Technology (IS&T), the Disability Compliance Committee and the Digital Communications Committee (DCC) to define web content standards;
3) Collaborate with Mar Comm, Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Studies, Registrar, Student Aid, IS&T, etc. to regularly update homepage content;
4) Develop, test and debug web applications in various browsers and devices;
5) Embed HTML and CSS coding and integrate applications within the institution’s website;
6) Enhance and modify applications, as necessary, to ensure optimal user experience;
7) Provide regular training to web content owners and managers across campus related to consistency of branding/messaging and ADA compliance standards in web content;
8) Utilize GA4 data and other resources to inform decision-making;
9) Establish and manage search engine optimization (SEO) procedures;
10) Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations (ex. GDPR, CCPA) in all web-related activities;
11) Work continuously to evolve how the University delivers and manages messaging across the website, staying current with best practices, especially among institutions of higher education and COPLAC institutions;
12) Escalate issues and risks to IS&T as needed;
13) Handle multiple assignments well, maintaining a positive attitude under pressure and meeting deadlines regularly;
14) Assist other members of the Mar Comm, Advancement or IS&T staff with special projects, assigned events and activities as needed;
15) Maintain a commitment to the University’s missions and values in day-to-day interactions and decision-making;
16) Represent the department and the institution at various campus and community events and/or meetings or on committees;
17) Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
