1. Provide services to CS clients (students, faculty, and staff), including but not limited to, case management, screenings/assessments, basic triage, and referrals to off-campus mental health services and other resources
2. Work directly with students to monitor student well-being, ensure continuity of care, determine student needs and level of care, develop realistic action plans, connect students with campus and/or community resources, and provide access to UM Emergency Assistance Services (Food and Financial Assistance).
3. Provide walk-in or scheduled crisis triage with students to address immediate needs and determine appropriate follow-up.
4. Work with Counseling Services clinical staff to assist in following up with at-risk clients and making appropriate clinical referrals.
5. Serve as a point of contact and provide consultation (within legal limits) to faculty, staff, parents, and students expressing concerns regarding members of the University community.
6. Work with students to explore options related to reporting incidents of sexual misconduct to Title IX Compliance Officers, Student Conduct Officer, the University of Montevallo Police Department, and/or other authorities.
7. Provide administrative support for the CARE Team and Threat Assessment Team.
8. Assist with prevention and outreach initiatives to address mental health and developmental issues and promote available resources.
9. Prepare and maintain appropriate clinical and non-clinical documentation.
10. Serve in the Emergency Duty and Mental Health Responder on-call rotation.
11. Assist with Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs and University committees, events, and activities as needed and assigned.
12. Serve on assigned Student Affairs and University committees.
13. Assume other duties as the Senior Clinician for Acute and Crisis Services and the Executive Director may assign.
