SCHEDULE:
Full-Time
SALARY
$21.60 - $22.78 Hourly
DUTIES:
 Primary point of contact for participants and applicants for Section 8 program. 
Reviews applications for program and interviews applicants;
 Prepares for and conducts participant meetings to explain program rights and responsibilities;
 Assists in implementing of new and revised regulations as they occur;
 Completes annual recertifications;
 Completes interim recertifications;
 Scans documents into Laserfiche;
 Coordinates participants in the moving process;
 Holds Informal Reviews and occasional Pre-Hearing Appeals;
 Other tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
 Minimum of High School diploma. Job experience working with low-income people preferred;
 Maintain a State of Indiana driver’s license;
 Ability to use and maintain standard office equipment such as computer (Microsoft Office), FAX, calculator,
copier, postage machine and telephone. 
Strong math, analytical and organization skills; 
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers and the public;
 Ability to compose appropriate written documentation and other required paperwork;
 Ability to use reference manuals and resource materials as applies to Essential and Non-Essential functions;
 Ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and economic status;
 Must be able to obtain Housing Specialist Certification within 3 years of hire
 Bilingual preferred
