Job Objective & Safety/Security Sensitive Designation
This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
JOB OBJECTIVE: To identify, link and engage with City of Little Rock homeless populations by providing street outreach and housing resources for temporary and permanent housing placement through federal grants and programs; provides various services to individual clients to include crisis intervention, case management, and counseling techniques.
Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications, Additional Requirements and Supervisory Responsibilities
These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services Psychology, or a related area; two (2) years of case management experience OR social work experience preferably working with the homeless population or related area; one (1) year of computer experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
- Must possess Standard First Aid and Community CPR certifications, or other certifications which incorporate Standard First Aid and Infant, Child and Adult CPR, within six (6) months of employment, and maintain certifications for the duration of employment in this position.
- Must be available to work and provide emergency assistance outside of regular business hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
