Leadership and Management: - Oversee the daily operations of the school, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment. - Implement and monitor school policies, procedures, and strategies to achieve the school's educational goals. - Lead and manage the academic and non-academic staff, ensuring high levels of performance and professional development. - Promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning by fostering a culture of academic excellence. 2. Academic Excellence: - Develop and implement academic programs that meet the highest educational standards and align with the school's mission. - Oversee curriculum development, instructional methods, and assessment processes to ensure they are effective and up-to-date. - Monitor student performance through regular assessments and evaluations, and implement strategies to address any challenges. - Facilitate professional development and training for teachers to enhance teaching practices and ensure innovative approaches. 3. Student Development: - Promote the holistic development of students, ensuring their academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being. - Foster a positive school culture that encourages discipline, respect, and strong moral values among students. - Oversee extracurricular activities, ensuring they complement the academic curriculum and contribute to student growth. - Ensure students receive appropriate guidance, counseling, and support services. 4. Parent and Community Relations: - Maintain open and positive communication with parents, guardians, and the wider community to support student achievement and school initiatives. - Organize parent-teacher meetings, school events, and community outreach programs. - Serve as the school’s ambassador, enhancing its reputation and fostering strong ties with the community. 5. Administrative and Financial Management: - Oversee the financial management of the school, including budgeting, resource allocation, and fundraising activities. - Ensure compliance with local education laws and regulations. - Monitor and ensure the effective use of school facilities, technology, and other resources. 6. Strategic Planning: - Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and execute a long-term strategic plan for the school’s growth and success. - Evaluate the effectiveness of school programs, and make data-driven decisions to improve educational outcomes. Qualifications: - A Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred). - Minimum of 10 years of teaching and administrative experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Principal, Vice-Principal, or Head of School in a reputable institution. - Proven track record of driving academic success and fostering an inclusive and positive school environment. - In-depth knowledge of Nigerian educational policies and the British or American curriculum is an advantage. - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and administrative duties effectively.
