Job Summary: Our client in the finance industry is seeking to hire a Corporate and Compliance Lawyer. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing corporate legal matters and ensuring the company’s compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to corporate operations.

Develop, implement, and manage the company’s compliance programs to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.

Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory environments, assess their impact on the company, and update compliance policies accordingly.

Conduct internal audits and investigations to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.

Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies and manage relationships with external legal counsel.

Advise senior management on legal risks and ensure that business decisions are made in a legally sound manner.

Oversee corporate filings, records, and documentation to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Support in managing litigation, disputes, and regulatory investigations, including coordination with external counsel as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Law

Minimum of 3 years post-call experience in corporate law and compliance, preferably in a corporate or financial services environment.
