Laminator Assistant
Color Ad Packaging is a Winnipeg based leading producer of quality commercial packaging products.
We are currently hiring Laminator Assistants.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.30 per hour
Benefits:
We are currently hiring Laminator Assistants.
Work Performed:
- Reads and understands docket and spec sheet for correct lamination according to standard operating procedures
- Uses scale to ensure coat weight is within tolerance according to standard operating procedures
- Provides Quality Control samples for GC testing as per standard operating procedures, as well as, provides the Graphics Department samples for customers, as needed
- Signs into the MRP (Globetek) for proper job and proper operation, inputs production and waste for each job, and issues material used (WIP and raw materials)
- Creates stock ID and move ticket forms
- Uses scale to ensure correct impression count per roll
- Fills out required documents (SPC, Operator Checklist & Sign-Off Tag) with supervisor’s sign off, as needed
- Reads and understands the printed and/or online schedule and follows instructions left by lead hand
- Files maintenance work order for any repairs required, ensures supervisor approval
- Informs supervisor when running low on consumables
- Sets up machine according to standard operating procedures and spec sheet, ensures good manufacturing practices are followed. Understands machine capabilities.
- Ensures quality of product coming off machine for any defects based on Color Ad’s set standards
- Maintains clean workplace and machine
- Completes preventative maintenance work orders as per standard operating procedures
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment
- Minimum Grade 12 education is required
- Mechanical dexterity required
- Computer proficiency is an asset
- Previous experience in a print environment is an asset
- Ability to lift, bend, twist in performing the functions
- Frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time
- Some heavy lifting required
- Exposure to moderate noise and odors
