Ink Technician
Color Ad Packaging is a Winnipeg based leading producer of quality commercial packaging products.
We are currently hiring an Ink Technician.

We are currently hiring an Ink Technician.
Work Performed:
- Makes ink using Novaflow Ink Dispenser
- Reworks existing ink to match new colors
- Monitor quality and consistency using computer control X-Rite console and make adjustments as required
- Make adjustments and determine settings to control color and viscosity
- Makes ink drawdowns of approved wet sample ink from press and check samples for ink coverage for future reference
- Places ink drawdown in color standard folder and file
- Ink Returns, weight and print out sheet and place on racks
- Review job orders to determine job specifications such as production time, color sequence and quantities required
- Ink to be sent to delta 2 or under
- Maintains clean and tidy Ink Room area and all ink mixing equipment
- Perform required maintenance to machinery
- Manages inventory, checks all ink levels in Novaflow Dispenser and orders ink if needed on a daily basis
- Collects Co As for fresh ink and verifies ink on a weekly basis
- Calibrates Zahn Cup and K-Proofer on a monthly basis
- Previous experience within the printing industry is an asset
- Experience with X-Rite is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Mathematical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Capable of lifting 50-60 lbs. at once
- Frequent walking
- Frequent standing for extended periods of time
- Exposure to moderate noise and odors
