We are looking for experienced Cyber Security Specialists to join the The Queensland Police Service's Mobile Capability Centre (MCC). You will work on services delivering world leading mobile capabilities to frontline police on an expanding fleet of over 10,000 QLi TE (i Pad/i Phone) devices across the state. You will use your subject matter expertise to provide technical support and work closely with key stakeholders (including agencies, customers, vendors, and technical operational areas) with regards to a wide range of security systems and infrastructure with a focus on the Mobility space. You will provide leadership and expert advice on the selection, design and implementation of information security controls and technology strategies in accordance with agency, state and federal standards, policies, procedures and legislation. MCC has a diverse workforce with a mix of sworn officers, civilian staff, contractors, and delivery partners engaged. The team works from Makerston House, Brisbane CBD with some flexible remote working arrangements available by agreement.
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Provide expert strategic, tactical and operational advice which ensures the confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and compliance of all Mobile Capability Centre information assets which complies with IS18.- Participate in designing, capacity planning, configuration management, administration, change management, documentation and support of security technologies within the Mobile Capability Centre.- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to a team of information security and access specialist to monitor, investigate, contain, eradicate, recover, document and report on security events and incidents and identify and implement strategies- Perform analysis, monitoring and logging of operational boundaries of Mobile Capability Centre systems and take appropriate proactive action by the implementation of short and long term strategies if capacity or security issues are detected.- Contribute to and conduct training in information security standards and procedures to network security team members and at various governance boards and working groups within the Mobile Capability Centre.- Provide input and assistance to and monitor new projects, strategic and operational plans for security and associated infrastructure systems and services- Critically assess existing IT policies, standards and procedures and develop proposals for the determination of IT policies, standards and procedures- Oversee and conduct forensic investigations, risk and vulnerability assessments.- Maintain, update and continually expand knowledge of developments and trends within the network and information security industry and evaluate the benefit and applicability to Mobile Capability Centre systems.

Qualification
- Tertiary qualifications in Information and Communication Technology or industry certifications such as Cisco, CCNP, Microsoft MCSE or experience in a large data network environment will be an advantage.
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
- Knowledge in the application of relevant security standards, e.g. DSD Information Security Manual.- Knowledge or skills in the design of DMZ solutions.
