You will be a part of the Strategic Investment and Policy Group and contribute to the development and implementation of a fiscal governance framework to support corporate Finance Division and business areas across the Queensland Police Service (QPS).
Your part in supporting key frontline services will see you responsible for the developing fiscal management policy, resources and training to enhance financial management capability across the organisation.
Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Lead, design and mentor resources to implement a fiscal governance model to be used by the Finance Division and wider QPS.- Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of a high-quality Fiscal Governance Framework for Finance Division and the organisation.- Identify and implement fiscal / budgetary management policy enhancements to support effective financial management across the organisation.- Provide high quality research and advice on financial management to support sustainable resource management, investment decision-making and related reporting and submissions.- Lead the design, development and implementation of fiscal / budgetary training and resource material to enhance financial management capability across the organisation.- Establish and enhance collaborative working relationships with internal and external networks and stakeholders.

Qualification
- A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Other
- Previous experience in the implementation and maintenance of financial policies and procedures would be highly regarded.
