Your Key Accountabilities -
The core capability requirements for this role are:
Assist with the planning and monitoring of repairs and maintenance to buildings, grounds and equipment ensuring workplace health and safety legislation requirements are adhered to.- Carry out minor repairs, maintenance and cleaning to facilities, grounds, equipment, machinery and vehicles within the Police Academy Facility to ensure a high standard is met.- Clean outdoor furniture, position recycling bins for collection and general removal of rubbish items to ensure grounds are kept presentable.- Undertake mowing, edging, trimming plants and trees and hedging to a high standard of presentation. Laundering of bed linen may also be required to ensure hygiene standards are met.- Comply with work health and safety requirements, including safe storage and/or disposal of fuel products and chemicals.
Role Requirements -
Technical/ Operational/ Educational Experience
Experience in gardening/ horticulture with sound knowledge of local plants, local pest control, synthetic and natural fertilizers would be preferred. - Experience with usage, maintenance and repair of various gardening equipment (zero turn mowers, whipper snippers, hedgers, etc) is also desirable.- Sound literacy and numeracy skills are required.
Other- Successful applicant will be required to commence work with their own high viz clothing and safety work boots.
