Calvary have an opportunity for a People and Culture Leader to join the team, based in either Canberra or Sydney.
As the People and Culture Manager for Southern NSW and ACT, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialist support the region. You will lead a small team and partner with senior leaders on People and Culture matters, particularly employee relations.
We are seeking an individual who excels at managing an operational portfolio, whilst maintaining a keen focus on continuous improvement and balancing risk mitigation. To excel in this role, you will have strong relationship management skills and value strong service delivery.
Key responsibilities
Provide People and Culture advice and support across Hospitals, Aged Care and Home Care
Effectively manage a small People and Culture team, delivering exceptional service that demonstrates Calvary's values and a best practice approach
Act as a point of escalation for People and Culture matters, conduct case management and deliver on project/program implementation
Manage system workflows in conjunction with the broader People and Culture team
Pro-actively demonstrate and promote physical and psychological safety within the workplace
Keen focus on creating and promoting a positive workplace culture for all employees of Calvary through effective leadership, encourage teamwork and ensure employees have opportunities for career development
Manage reporting requirements for the regional People and Culture team, and undertake analysis of data to effectively partner and inform decision making
Lead significant organisational change programs ensuring adherence to industrial instruments
Participate in industrial negotiations with Calvary's National Industrial Relations team as required
Manage and provide specialist advise relating to dispute and conflict resolution matters with employees, managers and industrial associations
Work closely with regional Executive teams to interpret employee engagement survey results and develop strategies to address improvement opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships, and drive continuous improvement People and Culture initiatives
Ensure positions are properly designed and fully described to align with strategic direction of Calvary, in accordance with Calvary's HR delegation framework
What you bring:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels
A passion for driving organisational culture and employee engagement
Significant employee relations skills including experience in the management of disciplinary and grievance processes, a strong understanding in the application of industrial and legislative frameworks
Demonstrated significant experience working in a similar role and industry experience preferred
Demonstrated experience in leading a team of People and Culture professionals to achieve a high performing and positive team culture
Significant experience in driving organisation change programs to achieve strategic objectives
