Temporary (12 months, leave relief) Full-Time.
Salary Classification: Administration Officer Level 3 Year 1-2
Remuneration: $33.30-$34.33 per hour + Superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packing options + RDO’s.

THE ROLE:
The Administration Officer is a valued member of Calvary Mater Newcastle’s Clinical Information Department. The role provides efficient medical record, clerical and scanning services to the Hospital. The administration officer supports front line patient services, quality record management and processing.

DUTIES:
Accurate and timely data entry into Patient Administration Systems.
Undertake a high-volume workload and be available to assist others when required.
Audit and reassemble discharged patient records, locating prior notes as applicable and using hybrid systems.
Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the availability of complete and timely medical records.

ABOUT YOU:
Demonstrated experience working in a Medical Record Department or office environment with the responsibility of maintaining patient records in paper and electronic formats
Demonstrated attention to detail in all aspects of work and ability to prioritise work
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate effectively
Ability to process a high-volume workload, to meet deadlines and flexible in approach to work
Demonstrated computer literacy including use of patient administration systems and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality requirements as they apply in a hospital setting
Knowledge of medical terminology and willingness to develop skillset
