PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Provide proactive and strategic people and culture partnership services to an internal customer group to support the Business in delivering its
People Plan and achieving strategic objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered
Key accountabilities:
- Develop effective relationships with the Business Unit's leadership group to understand their strategic challenges, opportunities, and
requirements while enhancing their capability to achieve results through value-added contributions.
- Provide guidance and insights to enable leaders to develop people strategies across organisational culture, employee engagement, change
management, workforce planning, performance, career planning, succession, talent acquisition and development, and the implementation and
evaluation of policies through contemporary people and culture practices.
- Guide, coach, and support leaders to be more effective in their roles by providing regular feedback, building leadership capability, and supporting
the goal of fostering a high-achievement culture.
- Foster the success of change initiatives through advising on business readiness and workforce risk mitigation.
- Implement people and culture programs to ensure they continue to support the needs of the organisation and Business Unit.
- Undertake research and analysis to develop options to meet business needs and emerging issues.
- Undertake analysis to provide regular insights on key people metrics from which Business Unit leaders can make timely and effective decisions.
- Provide guidance and support to leaders on complex employee relations and workforce interpretation and application of relevant legislation
including Fair Work Act, Public Sector Employment and Management Act, PWC employment arrangements and workforce risks.
- Proactively keep informed of contemporary changes to labour market forces including relevant legislation, regulation and practices.
- Understand the Power and Water organisation design principles and frameworks; and provide guidance and coaching to Business Unit leaders.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets (particularly around employment costs) and performance targets, and other People and Culture related
planning activities.
- Manage projects as required, including activities in support of People and Culture Policy and Practice, Work Health and Safety and other key
strategic initiatives.
