The Bartlett Arboretum stands as a beacon of hope in South Central Kansas. Its far-reaching programs support local education, food insecurity, arts programming, and sustainable arboriculture. As a result of the Ameri Corps’ service, 200,000 county neighbors and the greater population of Wichita, as well as surrounding cities and states, will be provided with a place to connect with nature, experience culture and arts, and learn about sustainable management practices for years to come.
Member Duties : - Introducing new volunteers to the arboretum, guiding them through daily tasks and routines. - Hospitality at front gate - Working directly with volunteers in farm chores, tulip planting, leaf raking - Interacting and socializing with volunteers during shared lunchtime - Social media posts, engaging with our audience - Planning and prepping for Tree House Concert Series - Monthly dinners - Farm gardens - Landscape terraces - Germination station - Orangery
