Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent with a strong focus on native preference under PL 93-638.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop and execute recruiting plans to meet the staffing needs of Chugachmiut. Identify and source talented candidates through various channels, including social media, professional networks, and job fairs.
Leverage Cyber Recruiter software to its full potential, managing all aspects of the recruitment process from posting jobs to processing new hires. Ensure data integrity and optimize workflows within the system.
Generate reports and assess recruitment costs and returns. Recommend and implement changes and improvements to the process to reduce costs and increase value of recruiting tools and sources.
Write and post job advertisements on relevant job boards and social media platforms, ensuring maximum visibility and reach. Proactively reach out to potential candidates.
Work closely with department managers to understand their hiring requirements and provide regular updates on the recruitment status. Offer guidance on recruitment strategies and decision-making.
Assist in the interview process; draft interview questions, schedule interviews, and attend interviews as necessary.
Represent Chugachmiut at various recruitment events, promoting our mission and values to potential candidates.
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and organizational policies and regulations.
Maintain accurate records and provide reports on recruitment metrics to HR management.
Stay informed on recruitment trends and best practices. Recommend improvements to our recruitment strategies and processes, including the use of Cyber Recruiter
Works with the HR team to ensure job descriptions are up to date and meet current standards.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
Proficiency in Cyber Recruiter or similar applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of labor contract administration, labor law practices, state and federal statutes and regulations regarding employment matters such as EEO, Human Rights, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures and communities preferred.
Hours of Work:
Hours of work are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch. This is a full-time 37.5 hours per week and 1950 hours per year position. Chugachmiut maintains a drug/alcohol free and non-smoking environment.
