Family Scholar House partnered with Ameri Corps to place over 200 members at nonprofit healthcare facilities in rural and urban areas throughout Kentucky. Members will provide supplemental healthcare support to these nonprofit facilities to fill gaps in service. KY Health Corps is committed to equipping members with the training and experience they need to continue on the path of becoming a healthcare professional. Members will complete their service ready to enter the workforce or continue in their education. Flexible positions with seasonal start dates are available in a number of roles at one of our hospital or long-term care partners.
Member Duties : Spend a great deal of time interacting with patients/residents to perform medical and non-medical tasks and support activities. Assist with meal preparation and delivery to ensure maximum nutrition for patients in healthcare facilities. Spend time engaging with patients/residents, visitors, and community members at the facility.
