Direct and supervise the maintenance personnel ensuring adherence to safety standards and procedures
Coordinate and schedule routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
Analyse breakdowns and failures to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
Maintain Maintenance Connection works orders and Preventive Maintenance Schedules.
Create site reports and update Maintenance Connection of any Equipment change on site.
Maintain and repair all building structures.
Maintain Forklift Fleet onsite.
Maintain plant rigging equipment.
Assist Maintenance Engineer with ensuring Pressure Equipment and Process Safety Devices are maintained and compliant as per OHSACT – PER.
Control maintenance and project budgets and recommend suitable suppliers.
Maintain plant above ground storage tanks and ensure compliance.
Participate on site risk assessments.
Assist in incident investigations.
Supervise service providers and contractors carrying out work on the plant
Provide training and support to maintenance personnel
Ensure that all safety standards are maintained
Qualifications & Experience
Matric
Qualified Artisan (Trade Test/ Red Seal Millwright)
5 years of experience in Supervision with at least 2 years in a chemical/petrochemical environment.
Wiremens license
Practical and administration knowledge relating to statutory requirements (OHASA etc.) and relevant SABS codes Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
