Job Position: Logistics Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Working with other departments to support business goals and objectives
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conducting cost analysis to select cost-effective transportation options.
- Communicating with warehouse/distributor or depot, carriers, and customers to ensure smooth delivery.
- Maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensure an efficient and effective order-to-delivery lead time, reordering products as needed, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Overseeing the loading of trucks, setting up delivery routes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to the Distribution Canters.
- Coordinate and manage the entire importation process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Negotiate with shipping agents and transporters to secure the best rates and services.
- Resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or customs clearance.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade laws, tariffs, and compliance regulations.
- Prepare and review shipping documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and transport companies to ensure compliance with import regulations.
- Track shipments and handle all logistics-related inquiries from suppliers and clients.
- Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate and improve logistics and supply chain processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in importation, logistics, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, shipping procedures, and customs documentation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and logistics management software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in [specific industry] would be an advantage.
