Job Summary: The Logistics and Inventory Officer will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of inventory and logistics within the company. This role ensures that solar products and equipment are accurately tracked, stored, and dispatched, while optimizing supply chain operations. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and internal teams to ensure that materials are available for project execution and that stock levels are maintained in line with operational requirements. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records for all solar products, components, and equipment.
Regularly conduct stock audits to ensure physical inventory matches system records.
Monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Implement best practices in inventory control, ensuring the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Plan and coordinate the transportation of solar equipment, materials, and supplies from suppliers to warehouses and project sites.
Optimize shipping routes and schedules to minimize costs and ensure timely deliveries.
Work with freight companies, couriers, and internal teams to manage delivery and pickup schedules.
Track shipments and resolve any logistical issues or delays that arise.
Supervise the organization and maintenance of the warehouse, ensuring all items are properly labeled, stored, and accessible.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
Implement systems for proper handling of solar products to avoid damage or loss.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues related to procurement, delivery, or product quality.
Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, returns, and adjustments.
Generate regular reports on stock levels, inventory turnover, and logistics costs.
Provide recommendations for improving inventory management and logistical processes.
Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure that solar equipment and materials are delivered on time to meet project deadlines.
Assist in the tracking and distribution of project-specific materials.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, inventory management, or supply chain roles, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
Experience with inventory management software and logistics tools.
Knowledge of solar energy systems and components is a plus.

Problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems and inventory management software is a plus.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
