Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering manager responsible for overseeing the technical development and delivery processes for our engineering team.
This role involves managing the build process, ensuring the quality of builds, and driving collaboration between teams to ensure efficient and high-standard software delivery.
Responsibilities
Facilitate collaboration and communication across teams.
Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize engineering resources.
Ensure transparency around build status, quality, and timelines.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices for development pipelines.
Ensure the build environment supports high-quality product development with minimal downtime.
Implement testing strategies to detect issues early in the development lifecycle.
Enforce quality assurance practices throughout the build process.
Continuously review and improve development and deployment processes.
Monitor and improve key quality metrics related to the build process.
Ensure builds meet predefined standards before release.
Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team.
Set clear goals and expectations for team members, aligning with product and business objectives.
Manage incident response related to build or deployment issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Management.
At least 7 years of proven experience in quality assurance, compliance, or auditing within financial services industry.
Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
Strong technical background in software development and Dev Ops practices.
Experience managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Leadership and people management skills.
Problem-solving and risk management experience.
Budget and resource management experience.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management, ITIL (IT Service Management) or Dev Ops-related) are a plus.
Salary
N950,000 / month.
