Identifies new business opportunities by researching and identifying potential clients, partnerships, and markets for expansion.
Monitors market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
Develops and manages a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
Manages client relationships by building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Acts as primary point of contact to ensure client satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.
Proposal Development
Leads the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and tenders.
Ensures detailed understanding of client’s need is captured and well-articulated in the proposal or bid.
Collaborates with the estimating and project management teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Strategy
Develops and implements business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
Achieves sales targets by negotiating and closing deals with clients.
Identifies upselling opportunities within existing contracts and projects.
Represents the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
Develops a network of contacts within the industry to increase visibility and generate leads.
Prepares regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends and provides insights and recommendations to senior management.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the oil and gas or energy sector.
Exploration and Production (E&P) experience.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline with E&P experience.
A master’s degree is an added advantage.
Knowledge Requirements:
Strong understanding of the contracting and construction industry.
Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
