The Site Manager role will be responsible for the planning and monitoring of allocated projects, including managing staff and any labour hire or sub-contractors, H&S, work quality control, and working on the tools to ensure they are completed on time and to budget for the Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty regions.
The core areas of targeted work involve concrete and concrete surfaces including carbon structural strengthening, surface preparation, concrete repair, coatings and waterproofing, seismic strengthening, grout services, and testing.
The role can have up to 50% of the time spent working on the tools with the teams for assistance or training purposes.
Core Role
Develop project and variation methodology including technical requirements.
Study drawings, plans, specifications and project handover documentation to plan and execute projects under your control.
Manage all day-to-day aspects of projects under your control and ensure they are completed to specification, on time and to budget.
Build profitable, long-term relationships with customers, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure working relationships are maintained in an effective and positive manner.
Lead and manage the day-to-day performance of your team members with an equal emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Provide ongoing support and coaching to team members to increase their skills and capability.
Ensure clients are always kept well informed of the progress on their jobs and anything else that relates to them.
Identify project hours, expenses and identify and source resource pricing to carry out projects (including supplier, subcontractor pricing).
Demonstrate leadership in health and safety practices, actively promoting a “health and safety first” culture and leading by example to ensure all H&S requirements are met.
Work on the tools with the teams for assistance or training purposes.
Experience
5+ years’ experience including in a site or team supervisory / project management role
Experience on the tools doing work involving concrete and concrete surfaces including carbon structural strengthening, surface preparation, concrete repair, coatings and waterproofing, seismic strengthening, grout services, and testing.
Demonstrated understanding of concrete remedial solutions including a good knowledge of commonly used Mapei and Sika concrete repair / flooring products.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office package / software.
Current and clean NZ class 1 drivers’ license and ideally a class 2 license.
