Established in 1995, Tūwharetoa ki Kawerau Hauora provides top-notch health, education, and social services to all residents within the rohe of Tuwharetoa ki Kawerau and the Eastern Bay of Plenty. They are looking for an experienced Quality and Health & Safety Manager to join their team.

At Tūwharetoa ki Kawerau Hauora, people are at the forefront of what they do, both within the team, and in the wider community. Working collaboratively alongside the Change Manager and part of the interim leadership team, the Quality and Health & Safety Manger is responsible for overseeing contractual and legislative health and safety and compliance, employee well-being, and risk management within their growing organisation. This role may have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Oversee quality standards, ensuring they meet contract requirements
- Develop and oversee QMS quality framework and annual plans
- Responsible for Health and Safety compliance
- Incident management, be first point of call for any workplace incidents
- Complete health and safety audits
- Provide accurate advice to Change Manager and Board
- Oversee Risk Management, audit compliance
- Execution of policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and training to team leads and kaimahi on policies and procedures
Nga pūkenga me whai | The successful candidate requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification in Management, Health or Similar field
- ISO 9001 accreditation
- Sound understanding of Health and Safety legislation compliance
- Workplace Certified (Desirable)
- Compliance Management experience
- Workplace Health and Safety experience
- Quality Management Systems experience
- Proven record working alongside key stakeholders and maintaining good relationships
- Possess strong and effective communication skills
- Strong understanding of TKKH and the Eastern Bay of Plenty communities
- Previous experience working in a diverse organisation in a similar role
- Experience de-escalating conflict situations
- Strong relationship and network management
- Organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Understanding of tikanga Māori

RECRUITMENT INFORMATION
