Facilities Service Operator

About the team | Ko te rōpū nei
The Council's Facilities Management team is committed to ensuring the maintenance and security of these community and staff spaces so that we deliver excellent solutions for these important assets.
About the role | Ko te mahi nei
This role will see you coordinate work requests, purchase orders and complete general administration of facilities maintenance by liaising with contractors, service agents and staff groups to deliver all aspects of facilities building management.
With so many Council-owned facilities, our objective is to provide a single point of contact controlling and escalating work order requests.
About you | Ko Koe Tēnei
You will work as a team of two facilities operators delivering a professional and helpful customer experience. You'll need to bring your top-notch communication and organisational skills to understand all manner of customer requests, making sure they are connected with the correct service provider to respond with a solution.
You'll implement front line processes to support security and preventative and reactive maintenance for buildings. You are solutions focused and have a strong knowledge of buildings and contractors preferably within a facility management environment.

Hours of work - Fulltime Permanent Position 37.5 - 40 hour
Location - This position is primarily based at 53 Hereford Street, Christchurch
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $71,529 - $79,477 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
