What you’ll be doing - Te whakamahere
You will be working alongside a nimble and extremely talented team of engineers - we like to be leading/bleeding edge with our digital technology, so you will be current with your skills and your thinking. We have operations in every time zone around the world, so you won’t be bored.
We are looking for someone who has experience with:
- Endpoint Management and Compliance: you’ll be managing and monitoring the NZTE endpoint fleet using Microsoft Intune and Jamf, ensuring device compliance and managing policies. You’ll also be involved in deploying desktop applications, scripts, and configurations across various operating systems (Windows, i OS, Android, mac OS).
- Technical Expertise in Microsoft: you’ll serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft technologies, providing technical documentation and maintaining roadmaps for current and future technologies, and collaborate with the team to identify and apply fixes for CVEs promptly.
- Infrastructure and Vendor Management: you’ll be proactive in minimizing service outages by identifying infrastructure weaknesses and implementing proactive solutions. You'll also stay updated on new cloud-based technologies, and escalate technical issues as needed.
This role is a multifaceted function and you will get to work on projects, provide L2/L3 support, system security, recommend and drive system improvements for your tech stack. Your expertise will enable you to problem solve and evaluate issues whilst providing intelligent solutions.
For this role there is an element of after-hours support on a rostered, on-call basis.
What you'll need to be successful - Ō Pūkenga
You will be a natural problem solver and enjoy being part of a collaborative, fun team that prides itself on providing great technological outcomes for our customers. You’ll also need to:
- Be passionate and enthusiastic about technology with the ability to be customer focused and influence others to achieve outcomes.
- Be a seasoned engineer with experience in using Microsoft Endpoint, Intune, JAMF and can write scripts in Powershell.
- Have demonstratable capability Designing, Deploying and Maintaining Endpoint management strategies and keeping us ahead of the game with your ongoing roadmap.
- Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information and make recommendations to colleagues and decision makers.
- Experience working in a corporate IT environment and managing projects with a project team would be an advantage.
