We’re looking for a technically sound and customer service focused Systems Engineer to be a key member of our Information Systems Support (ISS) team. This a permanent full-time role.
Job Description
You’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing the School’s IT infrastructure and systems to ensure optimum availability and performance. Your day may include installing, maintaining and monitoring on-premises and Cloud systems, identifying and resolving issues with existing systems, implementing security best practices, and proposing and championing solutions. You will also be providing technical support and leadership to the ISS Support Team and assisting our ISS Manager in developing and implementing ICT strategies and projects.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal applicant will be:
A certified Microsoft Systems Engineer and Cisco Certified Network Associate
Have at least 5 years of hands-on server, Cloud and IT infrastructure experience
Possess sound knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure, Exchange, SQL, VMWare and Active Directory including Azure AD.
Familiarity with Symantec Endpoint Protection, DPM and Azure Backup.
Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, MDM and Apple devices.
Knowledge of SAN and cluster particularly HPE/Microsoft based.
Experience or knowledge of IT security best practices across all systems
Wireless and firewall experience, preferably with Fortigate and Aruba
