What you'll be doing: Te whakamahere
As the People Business Partner, your main purpose is acting as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of senior leaders (includes both NZ and international based leaders) to assist with supporting personal leadership development and a positive employee experience to lead their people. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Strategic Leadership Support: Deeply understand business groups and their challenges to contribute to the strategy, direction and leadership of the group. Assist our General Managers (GMs) and Regional Directors (RDs) in the design, development and execution of people strategies.
- Trusted Advisor and People Specialist: Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board to GMs/RDs on all things people, including the delivery of all people related initiatives linked to enabling NZTE’s goals.
- Leadership Development: Support GMs/RDs in their leadership journeys, allows them to grow and develop both themselves and their people.
- Employee Experience: Advise GMs/RDs on how to create an employee experience that embraces diversity, creativity, autonomy, and personal safety & wellbeing.
What you'll need to be successful: Ō Pūkenga
You will be an experienced People/HR Business Partner, with strong ER, legislation and coaching knowledge who has experience in working with senior leaders. You'll love connecting with people and are inspired by adding value to everything they do. You'll be confident and credible, and comfortable building relationships with a range of leaders, both in person and remotely, including understanding how a connected and collaborative team can ensure that a business grows and thrives.
Ideally, you'll have worked in an innovative, collaborative, and progressive place where you've learnt how to push the boundaries and aim high. You will have sound operational experience including an understanding of the importance of maintaining attention to detail, combined with the ability to think holistically and strategically in how to add value to the leaders you work with.
Ideally, you’ll have experience with designing and implementing people change processes and using data and insights to ensure organisational outputs.
Please note: if you are successful, you will be supporting a range of international and NZ based senior stakeholders, so flexibility is required.
