Reports To: Sous Chef / Head Chef Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie (CDP) with a specialization in Continental cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your specialty (Continental cuisine)
Assist in the development and planning of menus, including future food trends
Ensure portions are presented and garnished to a high standard
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety standards
Monitor stock levels and place orders when necessary
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support
Ensure compliance with all legal and company regulations
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service
Handle and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
In-depth knowledge of Continental cuisine and culinary techniques
Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Creativity and passion for cooking
Preferred Skills:
Experience in menu development and recipe creation
Familiarity with modern cooking techniques and equipment
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction well
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
