We are seeking a talented Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) or Chef de Partie (CDP) specializing in Indian curries to elevate our kitchen operations and bring creativity to the table. Key Responsibilities As part of our culinary team, your role will involve:
Curry Preparation: Independently prepare, cook, and present a variety of Indian curries (veg and non-veg) with a focus on authentic flavor, consistency, and presentation.
Menu Contribution: Assist in developing new curry dishes, ensuring they align with customer preferences and seasonal availability of ingredients.
Recipe Adherence: Maintain consistency by following standardized recipes while also bringing innovative ideas to the kitchen.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the seamless operation of the curry section.
Quality Assurance: Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Stock Control: Manage inventory, monitor ingredient levels, and ensure the timely replenishment of curry ingredients.
Mentorship: Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring they learn proper curry-making techniques and kitchen protocols.
Shift Supervision: Take responsibility for the curry section during shifts, managing kitchen flow and ensuring timely service.
Skills and Experience
Experience: At least 2-3 years of professional experience in an Indian kitchen, specializing in curry preparation.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian spices, cooking methods, and techniques for a range of curries, from mild to spicy.
Culinary Education: A professional culinary qualification is preferred but not mandatory if accompanied by relevant experience.
Creativity: Passionate about crafting traditional and innovative curries while maintaining authenticity.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure kitchen environment and coordinate with the kitchen team.
Food Safety: Up-to-date knowledge of food safety, sanitation protocols, and health regulations.
