Senior Software Quality Control - Manual Tester (Alexandria)
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Quality Control Specialist to ensure the reliability, usability, and functionality of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for identifying defects and inconsistencies in software applications and possess the ability to devise effective strategies for quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform thorough testing of software applications to identify bugs, defects, and usability issues.
2. Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts to validate software functionality.
3. Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
4. Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been fixed and do not reoccur.
5. Document and report bugs and errors encountered during testing, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
6. Participate in the design and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
7. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance.
8. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving software quality and user experience.
9. Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation related to software testing procedures and methodologies.
10. Conduct periodic audits of software development processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, 3 years of experience minimum.
3. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
4. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
9. Proficiency in using testing tools such as TFS, JIRA, or similar.
10. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
