This role is with KBR’s Government Solutions U.S. division. This project will provide the Customer’s facilities and outlying buildings with services necessary to ensure optimal performance and utilization of the facility infrastructure, including, but not limited to, Operation & Maintenance (O&M), recapitalization, renovations, design, construction, records management, repairs to correct identified deficiencies or adverse impacts to operational capabilities, and improvements leveraging innovative and technological solutions.
Who You Are As the Security Manager you are a key leadership figure within our management team. Your role working with the Joint Security Staff and Federal Police is crucial in supervising a multifaceted enterprise security posture. Your oversight ensures the precise execution security procedures to identify and manage potential security risks and vulnerabilities. Your expertise and management acumen uphold the integrity and effectiveness of our security services.
Your strategic approach to security operations aligns with US Government and Host Nation regulations, policies and procedures, driving the completion of critical tasks and establishing robust processes that serve as the foundation for a safe security posture. Your proactive management style includes the sourcing of necessary resources and providing expert technical management, which resonates with our standards of excellence across all service domains.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, Australia at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The Security Manager will be expected to travel between our facilities in Alice Springs and the local area. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
What You’ll Do In your pivotal role as the Security Manager, you will:
Provide security services on a 24x7 basis in accordance with Government Security SOPs, Emergency Action Plans, and installation Emergency Action Plan\Provide 24x7 physical/personnel security and implement operational security initiatives
Provide 24x7 monitoring and response to security, fire, and other emergency alarms or indicators
Perform maintenance and repairs on security systems (access controls, seismic sensors, Future Fiber Technologies, and Intrepid fence alarms, personnel detection microwaves, security lighting, Intrusion Detection Systems, pulse monitored fencing, tamper alarms, etc) respond and restore operations as necessary
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols for all sites
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities
Manage security staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Coordinate with local Joint Security Staff and Federal Police and emergency services as needed
Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports for management
Monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to maintain a secure environment
Provide leadership in crisis situations and ensure effective conflict management
Innovate and implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and efficient work environment
Cultivate and maintain robust partnerships with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and your team, fostering a collaborative atmosphere conducive to success
Authorize and guide technical solutions, products, and processes, ensuring they meet KBR's high standards and client expectations
Spearhead the strategic direction, seamless coordination, and effective management of tasks related to the security functions
Exercise quality control and standardize best practices to ensure consistent performance
Requirements
Must be a US Citizen and possess an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with adjudicated polygraph
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing projects of similar size, scope and complexity
Minimum of two (2) consecutive years of supervisory experience in the field of industrial security
Understanding of US Government Sponsor Security processes and procedures
Familiarity with US Government Sponsor and Intelligence Community policies in regards to Physical, Personnel, and Information Security
Experience supervising a security staff operating on a 24x7 basis
Demonstrated capability to exercise good judgement
Demonstrated capability to respond effectively during emergencies
