The opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated individual for a full-time, permanent position based at Moorebank, Sydney.
This role involves the picking, packing, storage, and transportation of secure and non-secure freight. You will coordinate freight consignments, oversee the receipt, dispatch, and escorting of cargo, and work closely with stores personnel in Defence warehouses. A key part of the role is identifying and investigating opportunities to reduce through life support costs, ensuring the facilitation of material transfers, and coordinating material disposals with disposal agencies. In addition, you will be responsible for performing CARDS inspections and transactions as required.
This position requires an active AGSVA security clearance, and any interstate applicants must be willing to relocate to Sydney.
As the ideal candidate, you will bring:
Experience in freight coordination, including secure and non-secure shipments
Strong knowledge of Defence warehouse and supply chain processes
Proven ability to identify cost-saving opportunities in through life support
Experience facilitating material transfers and coordinating disposals
Experience using MILIS and understanding of CARDS inspections and transactions
The ability to guide and provide instructions on disposal processes and documentation
