Reporting to the Group Chief People Officer this
Full Time, Maximum Term (12 months) position
will manage The Wests Group Australia’s Talent & Capability functions, including overseeing the learning and recruitment teams. This is a key leadership role where you will drive strategic initiatives in talent management, compliance, and capability building, while managing a high-volume recruitment function. Daily duties and responsibilities include:
Leading recruitment strategies and overseeing a high-volume recruitment function to meet the dynamic hiring needs of The Wests Group.
Managing a recruitment team responsible for both high-volume and specialist role hiring, ensuring efficient processes and quality candidate experiences.
Providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the learning and recruitment team members to meet organisational goals.
Embedding The Wests Group's Capability Framework and fostering a skills-driven culture across the organisation.
Overseeing learning functions, including compliance, certification management, and the coordination of corporate inductions for new starters.
Managing and developing strategic training initiatives, from planning and budgeting to execution and evaluation.
Creating and monitoring complex reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
Collaborating with business leaders to design and deliver development opportunities for professional growth and compliance adherence.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
At least 3 years' experience in a similar position.
A proactive, solution-focused mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to engage across all levels of the business.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build effective, collaborative teams.
Demonstrated experience in talent management, leading People & Culture teams.
Experience configuring and administering HRIS & Learning Management Systems with a strong UX focus (Cornerstone on Demand experience is desirable).
Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment in a fast-paced environment.
Experience interpreting and applying industrial instruments, including awards and Enterprise Agreements.
Proven ability to deliver strategic training and development initiatives, including compliance and leadership development programs.
Experience in creating data models, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI.
Strong ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
