Manager, Products and Services 3-year temp assignment
Leads an agile team of analysts, developers, designers and project officers, while working collaboratively with key stakeholders and manages client relationships to ensure timely and delivery of products and services.

Salary - $139,787 - $161,664 + super
Employment Type: Temp (3-years), Full-time
Location: Pyrmont with flexible working options

This role sits within Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) the Identity Security & Digital Division in the IT & Program Delivery team


About the team
The NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages is an agency within the NSW Department of Customer Service. The Registry was formed in 1856 to register life events in NSW accurately and securely for all time. This includes the registration of births, deaths and marriages and official changes of name and sex.


Your day-to-day

Leads a team while working collaboratively with key stakeholders and manages client relationships to ensure a smooth delivery of products and services.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban and Lean and how to apply them to digital product development. This includes experience in leading agile ceremonies, understanding agile roles, and artifacts. You will need to lead daily, weekly and monthly agile rituals efficiently, including removing blockers facilitating discussions, decision making and conflict resolution to ensure project delivery and positive outcome.
  • Manage project budget, resources and deliverables including effectively communicating plans and processes to meet delivery outcomes aligned with stakeholder expectations.
  • Apply the most suitable agile and lean methodologies including co-ordination with relevant customers and stakeholders, to deliver on project objectives and deadlines.
  • Ability to provide concise advice and determinations in a dynamic and complex working environment of competing priorities and short time frames across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context.
  • Ability to achieve multiple project objectives, given limited resources and tight deadlines, and the need to identify project interdependencies and balance competing demands and priorities and facilitating the development of innovative solution.
  • Ability to communicate with and aligning multiple and complex government agencies who have conflicting requirements.
  • Experience in performance management, mentoring and coaching to get the best out of your team.

Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $139,787 base plus superannuation
