Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is looking for a Clinical Governance Manager who will facilitate and support a high level of quality of patient care in health centres across the Miwatj region with responsibility over supporting the development, implementation and evaluations of Clinical Governance initiatives.

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region.
Key Responsibilities
This role will support the General Manager-Health in the development and implementation of the Miwatj governance framework, provide quality assurance advice and support to other members of the Senior Leadership Team across all areas of service delivery and oversee project design, planning, implementation and evaluation of identified quality improvement projects within Miwatj. Selection Criteria
The successful candidate must have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yolŋu people living in remote settings; Ability to motivate and accommodate the needs of staff in facilitating change within a complex and culturally diverse environment ; Proven capacity to communicate and negotiate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal peoples.
