As a Public Health Programs Support Officer with Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation, you'll assist in the development and implementation of health programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our community in East Arnhem Land. This role is part-time, fixed-term ending 30 June 2025.
- Competitive annual salary of $70,370 - $75,945 per annum pro rata
- 11.5% superannuation
- Ability to salary package up to $15,900 per annum plus a further $2,650 per annum on Meals and Entertainment
- Darwin city location
- 5 weeks annual leave

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.
Essential Requirements
The Public Health Team Coordinator will provide secretarial support by coordinating meetings, taking minutes and the coordination and dissemination of appropriate information to relevant persons and organisations; Provide logistical support in the planning and delivery of Public Health workshops, conferences, professional development opportunities and training events; Administer, contribute to, and moderate Public Health social media initiatives.
Candidates must have have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yolŋu people living in remote settings. . Please see attached Job Description to view the full information.
