Primary objective
Provide project coordination, administration and support for the delivery of project outcomes including arranging data analysis,
project monitoring, project support activities, administration and management functions as well as stakeholder management.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide project management and coordination, with a commitment to achieving quality outcomes alongside administrative
functions, not limited to but including provision of secretariat services to meetings and conferences and the preparation and
management of correspondence.
2. Contribute to regional service development and improvement projects that support the delivery of regional functions
and services to meet required standards and legislative requirements.
3. Participate as a project team member, including coordinating and documenting meetings and ensuring timeframes are met.
4. Prepare reports and data to identify recommendations.
5. Manage a Customer Services Officer to ensure duties are performed to standard.
6. Support a culture of achievement and continuous improvement through constructive practices with a focus on improving
the effectiveness and efficiency of services with a high level of professionalism, innovation and client focus.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven ability to research and analyse with the ability to summarise information succinctly, making sense of data, information
and complex situations and accurate presentation to the target audience.
2. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills and ability to manage staff.
3. Demonstrated capability to work with limited supervision and to confidently use sound judgment, initiative and problem
solving and be systematic in dealing with a range of complex activities concurrently.
4. High level verbal and written communication skills for effective and professional communication and demonstrated
competence in preparing and maintaining documentation with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Well-developed organisational skills with proven experience working under pressure, prioritising and meeting deadlines.
6. Strong experience in using software packages including MS Office Suite, with ability to quickly acquire skills in other software
packages.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful
and innovative .
Desirable
1. Formal Qualification (or working towards) in Finance or Business-related discipline, Project Management or other qualification
or equivalent.
