Primary objective
Provide support to ICT Service Delivery section to ensure high availability and maximum effectiveness of systems and information and
communications technology for the Northern Territory Government.
Context statement
ICT Services provides ICT hardware and software services to client agencies to meet business requirements. This includes end user services
such as the ICT Service Centre, End User Computing, Network Management, Voice and Telecommunications including internet. This
position is in the ICT Service Delivery unit and works closely with the Service Providers and Technology Service teams supporting allocated
client Agencies.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Lead an end-to-end review of cloud services in the NTG multi-service provider environment.
2. Provide advice regarding the design, delivery and quality, of all of government ICT service integration delivery and management
requirements, provide support to teams responsible for the delivery of services.
3. Monitor the operational delivery of ICT services in accordance with the agreed deliverables for the outsourced contracts.
4. Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Service Level Agreements and resolve non-performance issues with service
providers, escalation of ICT incidents and tasks.
5. Assist with Major Projects, Service Transition and End to End management services provided by external service providers to NTG.
6. Provide professional advice and support in regard to Microsoft Enterprise licence management as the NTG migrates to cloud services.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with an innovative approach to problem solving which are outcomes driven and
client focussed.
2. Experience in supporting delivery of ICT, digital solutions from an operational and/or project perspective.
3. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and articulate manner and approach negotiations with a clear understanding of desired
business outcomes and maintain strong professional working relationships with a range of stakeholders including external service
providers.
4. knowledge of and experience in delivering contemporary ICT and related service delivery frameworks, methodologies, processes /
tools including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
5. Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and accountability with a demonstrated strong work ethic.
6. An ability to manage self and others in a changing and complex environment.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative and
respectful.
Desirable
1. Qualifications in Information Technology, ITIL or relevant discipline.
2. Knowledge of Northern Territory Government business environment and the supporting ICT structure.
3. Knowledge and experience with managing Microsoft’s suite of products.
