Techos Pa' Mi Gente (TPMG Corp.) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reconstructing dignified roofs and rehabilitating homes in communities affected by natural disasters in Puerto Rico. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals in these communities by empowering them and providing training in basic building skills to enhance resilience. The Runner and In-Kind Donations Coordinator VISTA will be instrumental in strengthening TPMG’s resource distribution and logistical support, enabling the organization to expand its impact. By developing a robust system to assess, track, and meet material needs within TPMG’s initiatives, the VISTA will ensure resources are effectively allocated to serve the cases being worked on. They will establish and manage an inventory and transportation system to streamline the storage and distribution of in-kind donations, making it easier to get critical supplies where they are most needed. This VISTA role will reduce logistical barriers and enhance TPMG’s ability to respond to housing insecurity, empowering the organization to support even more residents in their journey toward stable, dignified housing.
Member Duties : The Runner and In-Kind Donations Coordinator VISTA will enhance TPMG’s logistics by developing strategies to meet material needs, coordinating in-kind donations, and managing transportation systems. They will assess material requirements, collaborate on a calendar of program activities, and create protocols to ensure timely receipt and distribution of materials and donations. Additionally, the VISTA member will organize a storage space for donations at TPMG’s headquarters and implement an inventory system to track resources efficiently. These efforts will support TPMG’s mission by maximizing resource impact, improving program delivery, and strengthening resilience for residents facing housing challenges.
