Techos Pa Mi Gente Fundraising & Resource Development VISTA
Techos Pa' Mi Gente (TPMG Corp.) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reconstructing dignified roofs and rehabilitating homes in communities affected by natural disasters in Puerto Rico. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals in these communities by empowering them and providing training in basic building skills to enhance resilience. The Fundraising and Resource Development VISTA will strengthen TPMG’s support capabilities by enhancing data management, creating impactful campaign content, refining grant proposals, and coordinating successful fundraising events. This VISTA will establish an efficient data entry system for tracking donations and donor information, streamline content that communicates TPMG’s mission, and help engage new and existing supporters. Working with the Grant Writer VISTA, this role will identify grant opportunities and improve proposal competitiveness. Additionally, the VISTA will assist in planning fundraising events that secure resources for TPMG’s programs, creating sustainable improvements in fundraising and bolstering support for vulnerable residents facing housing insecurity.
Member Duties : The Ameri Corps member will enhance TPMG’s fundraising capacity by developing a more efficient data entry system, creating campaign content, revising grant proposals, and coordinating fundraising events. They will assess TPMG’s current data management practices, build a streamlined tracking system, and train staff on its use. Additionally, they will work with the communications team to produce engaging, on-brand content that strengthens donor engagement. Collaborating on grant proposal revisions, they will support efforts to secure funding for TPMG’s mission. Finally, they will coordinate event logistics, volunteer support, and post-event feedback to improve fundraising effectiveness.
