The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting for a Technical Records Specialist 2 in the Animal Industries Division for the Boise district. This posting will close on November 29, 2024. The primary responsibilities for this position include data entry and support for the Traceability program independently using judgment, discretion and interpretation of a variety of complex guideline policies and procedures. Additionally, the TRS2 will provide general administrative support for both the Animal Health and Dairy bureaus, ensuring that support staff can effectively perform all duties across both areas. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Data entry
Processing checks
Answering phones
Assembling reports
Procuring equipment and supplies
Performing all other routine tasks necessary to support the division
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: These qualifications are mandatory requirements. One year of work experience in each of the following:
Monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors
Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and complex policies for multiple or highly specialized programs
Analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues
Dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in stressful situations
Composing and proofreading business correspondence
Six months of work experience in the following:
Entering and retrieving data using a computerized record system
Specialty Qualifications: These qualifications are mandatory requirements.
Microsoft Word - ability to operate word processing software (such as Microsoft Word) and equipment at the rate of 40 wpm or more and produce merged documents, specialized tables, reports (columns), correspondence, forms (creating and using templates), and graphics
Experience Using Spreadsheet Software - at least one year of experience using spreadsheet software to create and modify electronic worksheets and design and print graphs
