Summary of Responsibilities

• Attend all Senate / Department Representative Meetings, held bi-monthly.
• Attend Department Chair Luncheons, as scheduled for fall and spring semesters.
• Meet with your College or School Senator bi-monthly.
• Meet with your Department Chair bi-monthly.
• Attend, as often as possible, UVUSA events, activities, speakers, etc.
• Work with your senator to execute monthly surveys, tabling, outreach, or forums in your department.
• Execute at least one department focus group each semester.
• Assist UVUSA Senate with university-wide surveys, outreach, forums, and speakers throughout the year.
• Hold weekly office hours to be available for students.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

• Must be a UVU School of Education student and have completed the UVUSA student representative application.
• Must commit to a full year as a department representative and be available for department representative meetings as scheduled by the SOE student senator.

• Verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to solve problems and follow directions
