Position Announcement
Utah Valley University is seeking a student to work as a Department Representative within the School of Education.
We are currently looking for representatives for the Elementary Education, Secondary & Special Education, and Student Leadership & Success Studies departments.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Attend all Senate / Department Representative Meetings, held bi-monthly.
- Attend Department Chair Luncheons, as scheduled for fall and spring semesters.
- Meet with your College or School Senator bi-monthly.
- Meet with your Department Chair bi-monthly.
- Attend, as often as possible, UVUSA events, activities, speakers, etc.
- Work with your senator to execute monthly surveys, tabling, outreach, or forums in your department.
- Execute at least one department focus group each semester.
- Assist UVUSA Senate with university-wide surveys, outreach, forums, and speakers throughout the year.
- Hold weekly office hours to be available for students.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
- Must be a UVU School of Education student and have completed the UVUSA student representative application.
- Must commit to a full year as a department representative and be available for department representative meetings as scheduled by the SOE student senator.

- Verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to solve problems and follow directions
