We are seeking an experienced Spray Gun Painter/HVLP to work in our shop in Claymont, Delaware! AWR Commercial Window Company specializes in the repair and restoration of metal and wood windows and doors. We provide repair, preservation, and restoration services to residential, commercial, municipal, churches, cathedrals, historic, and landmark buildings throughout the United States. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 AM -3:30 PM (as workload requires) Pay Range: dependent on experience Spray Gun Painter/HVLP General Accountabilities:
Prepare area(s) to be painted by cleaning, or if necessary, scraping, sanding, patching, and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc.
Maintain and proper use a HVLP Spray Gun in a spray booth setting.
Maintains inventory of paint, paint brushes, and other painting supplies in accordance with Management's instructions
Paints areas as instructed by maintenance supervisor or property manager, utilizing appropriate finishes and applications.
Follows OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to use of hazardous chemicals; uses proper ventilation when using paint removers, varnishes, cleaners, etc.
Thoroughly cleans area, supplies and equipment when project is completed. Properly put remaining paint and supplies in the proper designated location.
Following and confirming AWR’s standard operating procedures are being met.
Maintain accurate records of projects and supplies.
Inspect all work products to ensure quality throughout the process.
Communicate with management in a timely manner.
Ensure clean and safe storage of all equipment.
Follows company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Spray Gun Painter/HVLP Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in spraying metals and wood using a HLVP paint gun in a spray booth setting (verifiable)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up, using, and maintaining gravity HVLP spray guns.
Minimum of 5 years plus experience in mixing multi-part coatings.
Ability to stand on feet 8-10 hours per day, maintain balance, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat frequently.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Require current driver’s license.
Must be able to work in the United States.
Must be able to travel short and long distance that could require hotel stay.
