Social Media Manager
The Social Media Manager is a key member of the corporate and marketing communications team. As a team, we are the brand ambassadors for Rx Benefits, maintaining and enhancing the company’s brand as a disruptive force for good in the pharmacy benefits industry. We support and enhance the company brand and growth in both audience-agnostic and -centric channels, and help foster employee engagement with powerful, consistent messaging. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, the Social Media Manager develops and executes a robust social media calendar that supports the company’s corporate and marketing communications goals, helping to increase brand awareness, engagement, and affinity amongst internal and external audiences.
Position Overview
Rx Benefits seeks a dynamic Social Media Manager and talented storyteller to lead our brand communications and marketing campaigns across various social platforms. With a thorough understanding of the pharmacy benefit industry and Rx Benefits' value proposition, the Social Media Manager will develop engaging content—ads, short-form posts, videos, and long-form articles.
This role demands initiative, urgency, and accountability, with the ability to pivot seamlessly between projects while meeting deadlines. The Social Media Manager will not only identify but also execute content needs, supporting overall company goals through strong collaboration and relationship-building. Excellent project management skills are essential.
Responsibilities:

Maintain an intimate understanding of Rx Benefits products, services, and industry positions to quickly identify opportunities to position the company as a market leader
Establish and maintain a brand and corporate social media program that supports and enhances Rx Benefits brand identity
Collaborate with marketing colleagues and internal SMEs to build and execute a balanced social calendar for both promotional and consultative content
Curate and refresh existing content for social media
Increase employee/HR/DEI content
Support executive social media content and calendar, ensuring cross-posting and engagement between executives and brand channels
Engage with key organizations and publications social handles, focusing on Linked In
Monitor company social media platforms and Google for comments and respond/escalate for resolution as appropriate
Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring campaign momentum while tackling larger initiatives
Use Asana to create, assign, and manage projects from ideation through production

Qualifications

BA/BS in journalism, communications, or related field
Pharmacy/PBM experience preferred
5-7 years of experience develop social content across platforms
Deep understanding of major social media platforms, with the ability to tailor approaches for platform-specific results
Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills
Ability to write high-performing content across social media channels, formats, and audiences
Ability to transition between marketing and corporate communications focused content needs
Strong knowledge of AP style and ability to quickly get up-to-speed with brand style
Comfortable using multimedia

Software Proficiency

Direct experience using social media management tools (such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
Basic knowledge of CMS platforms, such as Word Press
Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, digital advertising channels, and SEO
Understanding of how to use SEO research tools
Familiarity with virtual meeting and webinar hosting platforms such as Teams, Go To Meeting, Zoom, Go To Webinar, and ON24
Ability to post content to Slide Share, You Tube, and other social channels
Understanding of how to use AI tools to help content development

Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $73,600 - $82,800 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
